Mr. Wilbur Petree was one of the giants of prep coaching in the Greater Midwest. He died on November 16, 1968 after many years of service to North and South as both a coach and a teacher.

Ken Quails, a member of the class of '69, moved to Lansing from Joshua, Texas in 1965. He died December 27 of last year at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Captain Henry Szymborski, Lansing's Juvenile Officer, died on February 25, 1969, after many years of continuous work for the youth of Lansing. His film library, geared to teenagers and their problems, will be a continuing memorial to his efforts.

Mrs. Lucy Woods died September 10, 1968. She had served as social counselor at South and North since 1957. She came to our district after working at a Chicago welfare agency and serving as a social worker for family court.
