How Mark looked then |
I am the creator of this web site. My stint in highschool was less than stellar. I was an average student who only tried hard in math. I often took delight in frustrating certain teachers, like Mr. Sowinski, who believed I was not working to my full potential. You were right, Mr. Sowinski, and I am grateful for your efforts. It just took me a few years to listen to you. The only sports I participated in were intramural wrestling -- I was dismal-- and gymnastics. Unfortunately, our gymnastic program never made it past a somersault. In college I turned my attitude around 180 degrees -- probably since I had to pay my own way. I graduated with high honors (3.65 GPA) in English and earned a 4.0 GPA in my Philosophy minor. I am most proud of scoring a 100% on an essay test for a 17 year "Short Story" professor who said he never awarded a 100% grade before in his career. Return to page 174 of the yearbook. |
